Quite possibly one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. Imagine if you will, plunging your spoon through a crispy layer of caramelized sugar to expose a silky layer of frozen creme brulee ice cream beneath. Oh yea baby, this recipe is worth every single calorie-laden bite. Break out the kitchen torch! Your family and friends are going to flip over this one.

In the early 80′s, my family bought an old 50′s diner. Our prep cook was named Nadine, a 75 year-old woman, who had worked there since the diner originally opened. This is her pancake recipe, and still my favorite. You have to make the batter the night before you plan to use it. Prep time listed, is just the time that the batter has to sit overnight.

More a dessert than a side dish. Will stop that sweet tooth.

This is a basic recipe – easy to double or triple. Using frozen crawfish tails makes this a quick easy meal. You can also substitute shrimp!

This is a Christmas dinner staple on my husband’s side of the family. They are so good and easy I try to sneak them in a few other times a year. They are even better if you make the bean mixture the night before and allow them to marinate overnight.

An adaptation of breakfast potatoes served at my favorite local breakfast/brunch place. Would be great for dinner too!

Great to make ahead for parties, etc!

Definitely girl food!! Creamy soup with a hint of nutmeg. You will be surprised how well nutmeg and broccoli compliment each other! Serve with a crusty bread on a cold day.

This is a quick and easy sure to please recipe. My mother in law makes this during weekends at the lake and it is our favorite. I like to mix 1/2 mild and 1/2 hot sausage for a little kick. Goes great with a big ole pot of grits on the side.

Her enviable TK recipe box is a testament to that. Go see for yourself!
