A very old recipe from my mom, from her mom, and so on. I will use the broth from a roast that was in the crock pot all day, or just plain water with my tomato sauce.

This is a very old recipe that requires no shortening and is made with the peel, but not the juice or pulp, of the oranges. The bread slices better if baked a day ahead.

One of my favorite things to order at a Lebanese restaurant, Fattoush is salad which consists of chopped fresh veggies with toasted pita bread triangles & a lemony-mint dressing.

I never get tired of this wonderful summer salad. The dressing is a mixture of sweet and tangy. You can substitute sunflower seeds for the slivered almonds or do a combination of half and half. I sometimes use pine nuts just for a little zip.

Her enviable TK recipe box is a testament to that. Go see for yourself!
