Raspberry Linzer Heart Cookies

by dinnertonight and filed in Cookies, Desserts

The Linzer cookie starts with a hazelnut dough which retains its nutty flavor once baked. I prefer to use fresh ground hazelnuts rather than store bought hazelnut flour here as I enjoy the bigger nut pieces in my cookie dough. I also prefer to leave the raspberry jam unstrained in the little cookie windows. I think the seeds are pretty and they add some texture. I hope you’ll all make this beautiful cookie for your loved ones!

Mixed-Up Chicken Salad

by spatten and filed in Main Dish Salads, Salads

This chicken salad has a little bit of everything! The different combination of indgredients are the perfect mix of sweet and tangy. I’ve found that using a rotisserie chicken is the secret to extra flavor! This is super easy to make and extra yummy!

Polka-Dot Cookies

by My Stained Apron and filed in Cookies, Desserts

I have an obsession with polka-dots. It’s really quite sad. So when I saw this recipe I knew I needed to make them for Valentine’s day. My girls love pigs, and I thought the polka-dot theme went quite well with them.

Chocolate Shortcakes with Raspberries, Ice Cream & Creme de Cassis Fudge Sauce

by cookincanuck and filed in Desserts, Special Occasion

The chocolate shortcake, with its thin crust and soft cakey appeal, envelops a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which is slightly melted from the warmth of the fudge sauce. Fresh, sweet raspberries bring out the subtle flavor of the crème de cassis liqueur in the rich sauce.

World’s Best* Split Pea Soup

by pattycake and filed in Soups

*The World’s Best claim is based on my mother-in-law’s assessment. She claims to be a split pea connoisseur. I don’t want to influence you; all I can say is that it’s pretty darned yummy! I didn’t even like split pea soup until I started making it last year. This is the result of my evolution.

Meet Nancy

Nancy is the Coupon Clipping Cook, which means she not only has an astounding number of recipes to share with us (her TK recipe box is busting at the seams!) but she's also got loads of money-saving tips in her blog (she worked at a grocery store for a number of years, so she knows her stuff). She has some pretty amazing creations, like Roasted Garlic Potato Soup and Nutty Coconut Chicken. Go check them out!

Meet Heather

Heather is a Texas native and the blogger behind Heather's Dish. She's mom to Weston, wife to Nate, and they live in Little Rock, Arkansas with their two "stubborn and saucy" dogs Bunker and Keira. In her blog, she shares her photographs, random musings (serious and silly alike), and all kinds of scrumptious recipes---and not just evil variations of her favorite mac and cheese. Her enviable TK recipe box is a testament to that. Go see for yourself!
