Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Shred or grate cheese. Cook pasta until it is almost done (it will continue to cook in the oven).
Layer pasta and cheese in a 9×13 baking dish and pour Italian dressing over the mixture. (This is more or less to taste. I like to use about 3/4 of the bottle, but my Dad used about half.) Top with bread crumbs, if desired.
Bake at 350° until bubbly and brown. Serve and enjoy.
