Preheat oven to 400 F.
Place the tenderloin in a roasting pan or casserole dish with a lid.
Combine the remaining ingredients in a bowl and stir together. (Yes, it will be dry. Upon cooking, the juices from the apple will make it into puddles of juicy goodness.)
Spoon the dry mixture around the tenderloin. Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the lid and spoon the apple mixture over the tenderloin. Really pile it on!
Return to the oven to bake for 15 to 20 minutes longer until tenderloin is browned and cooked through. If using a meat thermometer, it should register 155 to 160 F when done.
