Epiphany is celebrated on January 6, and commemorates the Magi’s visit to the Christ Child. Growing up, our church would celebrate with Epiphany Cakes, which were filled with trinkets signifying different things. A fun way to celebrate the twelve day of Christmas with your kids! (Note: Be careful with small objects; make sure kids know they’re in the cake.)

Salty, sweet, and simple. Amen.

A smooth, creamy, velvety, nourishing sugar-free low-carb eggnog where you can add some rum for soothing the sore throat or just to get in the holiday mood!

These would be the perfect cookies to make with kids on Christmas eve to set out for Santa! Not only are they cute and fun, but they’re absolutely delicious. A soft and chewy sugar cookie base with cream cheese frosting, white chocolate, chocolate chips, marshmallows and sprinkles!

The main thing to remember about peppernuts is that they are tiny, about a third to a half inch, no larger. Peppernuts are a tradition in many German families. They came to our area with the Mennonite immigration in the 1870′s. Imagine generations of people grabbing a handful or two of peppernuts and munching away and you have a tradition worth continuing.
Nancy is the Coupon Clipping Cook, which means she not only has an astounding number of recipes to share with us (her TK recipe box is busting at the seams!) but she's also got loads of money-saving tips in her blog (she worked at a grocery store for a number of years, so she knows her stuff). She has some pretty amazing creations, like Roasted Garlic Potato Soup and Nutty Coconut Chicken. Go check them out!

In her blog, she shares her photographs, random musings (serious and silly alike), and all kinds of scrumptious recipes---and not just evil variations of her favorite mac and cheese. Her enviable TK recipe box is a testament to that. Go see for yourself!

I make these every Christmas and always get lots of compliments on them. Very fun to have the kiddos help you make too.

I have made these for twenty years straight. Family and friends expect them every Christmas. They are adorable and fun to make…….the biggest hit on the party tray!

Looks adorable!
May I ask … How do you store them and how long do they keep? Does the cherry begin to turn bad?

I’ve made these for years and they’re always a hit at holiday parties! I never thought to rest them on cookies, though. Brilliant idea!

My three oldest daughters and I made this recipe last night and it was so much fun!
We did use gingersnaps rather than oreo’s though, just because we couldn’t break them apart without messing up the cream.
They are so cute (but really kind of gave me the heebie-jeebies when they were all lined up on the plate together! Kind of like the scene from Ratatouille)

Just made these this morning with my two oldest (7 & 9 years old) They had such a fun time – and just loved their army of mice. They started telling stories – the fat one they called Gus, the one facing the all the rest became the leader, the smallest was the runt. They kids loved this holiday activity. Thank you so much for sharing!
