Description

This is just about the only way I’ll eat (or drink) white chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Whole Or Reduced-fat Milk (or Half And Half, If You Want To Be Really Indulgent)
  • 2 ounces, weight Good Quality White Chocolate
  • 1 pinch Sea Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Pure Vanilla Extract
  • FOR THE OPTIONAL TOPPINGS:
  • 3 Tablespoons Whipped Cream
  • 2 teaspoons Dark Chocolate Shavings

Preparation

Combine the milk, white chocolate, and salt in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Bring up to a simmer, then turn heat down and simmer gently 2 minutes, whisking frequently. Turn heat off and stir in the vanilla.

Serve hot, garnished with whipped cream and dark chocolate shavings, if desired.

Note: if you like yours frothy, use an immersion blender or carefully pour the hot chocolate into a blender and process until frothy.

This was wonderful! I used top quality white chocolate and milk without growth hormone (doesn’t have that background gamey taste) and it was awesome. I think using the best quality ingredients available makes a big difference with this one since there are so few ingredients involved. I doubled the recipe and it was plenty for two servings. I will definately make this again!
