Combine sliced strawberries and 1 teaspoon of sugar in a small bowl and freeze for at least 1 hour.
Once frozen, combine with remaining ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.
Garnish with chiffonade of basil and a small scoop of ice cream if desired.
