Description

I came up with this smoothie when I was trying to incorporate more spinach into my diet because it so healthy for you. With the berries, you can hardly taste the spinach. Feel free to substitute other berries.

Ingredients

  • 10 whole Blackberries
  • ½ cups Blueberries
  • 1 cup Cup Baby Spinach Leaves, Loosely Packed
  • 8 whole Ice Cubes
  • 2 Tablespoons Light Sour Cream
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 cup Juice, I Recommend A Light Berry Kind (I Used A Acai Berry Juice)

Preparation

Add all ingredients to a blender; puree until smooth. Serve immediately or refrigerate for later.

I use greek yogurt to add creaminess. I double the spinach and still can’t taste it. I love coming up with new fruit and juice combos. You can easily add flax seed also for those great omega-3’s! Thanks for sharing.

Very interesting recipe – I wouldn’t have thought to add fresh spinach. I bet you could sub Greek yogurt in place of the sour cream. Thanks for posting this recipe!
