Description

The ginger and honey in this lemonade give it an extra kick that really cuts the thirst!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Water
  • 2 cups Honey (I Use Orange Blossom, But Clover Will Work)
  • 2 Tablespoons Minced Fresh Gingerroot
  • 5 cups Club Soda, Chilled
  • 2 cups Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice

Preparation

In a saucepan, bring the water, honey and ginger to a boil. Don’t worry about peeling the ginger – you’re going to strain it out after it steeps anyway. Remove from heat; cover and steep for 10 minutes. Strain, using a fine-mesh strainer. Discard ginger. Cool.

Just before serving, transfer to a pitcher; stir in soda and lemon juice. Serve immediately.

Wow, 2 cups of honey sounds like a lot of sweetener. I do love ginger in lemonade though!

this was delicious! I made it a few days ago, and I’m going to make it again today! Ginger is one of my FAVORITE foods? flavors? spices? and i loved it in this lemonade. I also enjoyed the honey taste in the final product. I used half fresh and half “reallemon” and it was great. I’m sure you could use all “reallemon” if you live in the middle of nowhere like i do and ran out of lemons! I did about 1.75 cups of honey and it was great.
