Description

There is nothing like a smooth, creamy iced coffee frappe (basically an icy shake) to chill you from the inside out on these steamy hot summer days. Okay, and the caffeine doesn’t hurt either.

See my recipe box for the recipe for Boozy Cherry Molasses; a wonderful addition to the Iced Mocha Frappe.

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cups Fresh Brewed Double Or Triple Strength Coffee
  • 1 cup Cold Milk
  • 2 Tablespoons Chocolate Syrup
  • 1 cup Ice (preferably Crushed)
  • Optional But Tasty:
  • Whipped Cream
  • Chocolate Syrup Or Boozy Cherry Molasses, For Drizzling

Preparation

Add coffee, milk, chocolate syrup and ice to a blender carafe. Add lid and process until smooth.

If desired, drizzle a little chocolate syrup or Boozy Cherry Molasses down the insides of your serving glass before pouring in the Iced Mocha Frappe.

Top with mounds of whipped cream.

Drizzle a little more chocolate syrup and/or Boozy Cherry Molasses over the top and beware the brain freeze!

This is not too sweet and a real delight. I made double strength coffee early so it was cool and to avoid high fructose corn syrup, I make my own chocolate syrup. Yum!

These hit the spot!

Tip-make the coffee right away and put a cup full in the freezer to cool down- left it out and everyone (kids) can just add their own to taste)

We used a scoop of ice cream on top as we didn’t have any whipped cream. :)

next time I will try and plan ahead—make my espresso early so that it cools off before I use it!! the ice and the syrup and the milk cooled it down, but it wasn’t ICY. but delicious it was!!!
