Description

No more sun tea and the bacteria that can make you and your family sick. This tea is mild and easy to make; it just takes time. Let it park overnight and you are good to go with fresh brewed tea all day long.

Ingredients

  • 1 jar Half Gallon Mason Jar
  • 4 bags Tea (any Flavor Or Kind)
  • ½ gallons Cold Water

Preparation

1. Place tea in jar.

2. Fill jar with cold water.

3. Let steep overnight (at least 8 hours).

4. Strain or remove the tea bags.

5. Serve over ice.

This method requires less tea and produces a smooth, light, and refreshing iced tea.

Hello. This looks good, but i had a question. Do we have to use a jar? Can’t we use a jug instead?

Wow! I had absolutely no idea that bacteria could be found in sun tea. Read your post and did a little Google research on the topic. My family always made sun tea!! Will try this method in the future. Thank you!

Great idea! I didn’t know that you could make tea without boiling the water. I’m just sipping my delicious iced tea, and will certainly start a new Mason jar tea today. Thanks for the recipe.
