Description

Cool. Refreshing. Sweet. Delicious.

Ingredients

  • 4 bags Family Size Tea Bags
  • ¼ cups Chopped Fresh Mint (optional)
  • ½ cups Sugar
  • 2 cups Blackberry Syrup

Preparation

Brew tea according to package directions. Add mint leaves and let steep for 10 minutes. Pour tea through a fine mesh strainer into pitcher. Add syrup and sugar. Stir to dissolve. Fill with cold water; stir to combine. Serve cold over ice.

To garnish: Take small skewers and string on fresh blackberries. Add to glasses with a sprig of mint.

Enjoy!

If you don’t have homemade blackberry syrup (see my recipe box), you can buy it bottled in brands like Torani Blackberry Syrup.

I am giving it 5 mitts but the real test will be when hubby tries it. It tasted good to me, but pretty darn sweet. Not sure why the reviewer above mentioned artificial sweeteners since the recipe only calls for sugar…

I made this for a group event and it was gone within minutes. Even people who normally would not like mint, loved it!

I’m always looking for new summer teas, and I made your recipe using my own homemade blackberry simple syrup. I didn’t add the additional sweetener, only because I don’t care for a really sweet tea. I also used green tea bags instead of black. I love the versatility of your recipe. Thanks for inspiring me!
