Description

Semi-homemade layered desert that is a crowd pleaser for any summer party.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 16 ounces, weight Tub Of Cool Whip
  • ½ cups Sweetened, Condensed Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Almond Extract
  • 4 cups Store Bought Strawberry Pound Cake ( Or Make Your Own)
  • 1 pint Fresh Strawberries, Cleaned, Hulled And Sliced
  • 5  Kiwi, Peeled And Sliced

Preparation

Prepare ingredients:
In a medium-sized bowl, mix softened cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until incorporated. Then gently fold in Cool Whip and almond extract. Set aside for assembly.

Cut prepared homemade or store bought pound cake into 1-inch cubes then set aside for the assembly.

Stir together cleaned, hulled and sliced strawberries and peeled sliced kiwi and set aside for assembly.

To assemble:
In a trifle bowl start your first layer with 2 cups of the pound cake then for the 2nd layer spread half of the strawberries and kiwi onto cake cubes. For the 3rd layer add half of the cream mixture. Then repeat layers until the cream layer is on top. Garnish with a pretty strawberry and a few slices of kiwi if desired. It’s best if chilled for a couple hours but sometimes you can’t resist the urge to dig in.
