Description

Red, white, and blue desserts are a great way to show patriotic spirit on the 4th of July. These cookies use fruit and white chocolate for natural coloring.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Softened Butter
  • ½ teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2  Eggs
  • 12 ounces, weight White Chocolate Chunks, Chopped
  • 12 ounces, weight Dried Blueberries
  • 12 ounces, weight Dried Cranberries

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
3. In another large bowl, beat the softened butter, vanilla, and both sugars until smooth.
4. Add one egg. Beat until that egg is completely mixed in, and then add the second egg.
5. Slowly add the flour mixture until completely incorporated, but not over mixed.
6. Mix in the white chocolate, dried blueberries, and dried cranberries until evenly mixed.
7. Separate dough into 1-inch balls and place the dough balls on an ungreased cookie sheet.
8. Bake about 10-12 minutes.
