Description

A really easy way to satisfy a summer craving. Pretty certain this would work with just about any fruit you’d put in a pie as well.

Ingredients

  • 4 whole Ripe Peaches
  • 2 whole Apples
  • 4 Tablespoons Brown Sugar, Divided
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla, Divided
  • ⅔ cups All-purpose Flour
  • ⅓ cups White Sugar
  • ¼ teaspoons Nutmeg
  • ¼ cups Salted Butter

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Peel and slice peaches and apples. Divide evenly between 4 ceramic ramekin dishes. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of brown sugar over each ramekin. Over this sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla. Gently mix the ingredients of each ramekin. Place ramekins in the oven for 5 minutes.

While fruit is heating, mix flour, white sugar, and nutmeg. Melt butter in the microwave, then mix into the flour mixture until mixture is full of small, sandy balls.

After 5 minutes, remove ramekins from the oven and add the crumble mixture on top. Reset oven temperature to 350 F and bake for 10 minutes.

Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool for 10 to 15 minutes.

Note that the crumble will not be crunchy, but will have more of a melt-in-your-mouth quality to it.
