Description

Wonderfully easy brownies, with two delicious variations (the cream cheese variation is in a separate recipe). I love the way the swirl of peanut butter looks with the rich chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Canola Oil
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 4 whole Eggs
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ cups Unsweetened Baking Cocoa
  • 1 package (8 Oz) Cream Cheese
  • ½ cups Peanut Butter (heaping)
  • ¼ cups Sugar
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk

Preparation

Mix first 4 ingredients together in a large bowl. Sift next 4 ingredients together and add to the egg mixture. This makes your brownie mixture.

Soften cream cheese and mix with peanut butter, 1 egg, 1/4 cup sugar, and 2 tablespoons milk.

Spread half of the brownie mixture in a greased 9×13 pan. Spread the peanut butter mixture over the top, then dot with rest of the chocolate mixture in blobs. Gently run a knife through the layers to create a marbled look.

Bake at 325F for 50 to 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

I’ve been making a brownie recipe similar to this and I really can testify to it’s deliciousness!!

Thanks for a brownie recipe that uses cocoa powder! I’m so tired of brownie recipes starting with pounds or bars of very expensive chocolate. Our grandmas used baking chocolate and cocoa powder and it was good enough back then! I can’t wait to try this on my peanut butter loving boyfriend!
