Description

Ridiculously easy and yummy, too.

Ingredients

  • 24-½ ounces, weight Jar Peaches In Light Syrup
  • 1 box (18.25 Oz. Box) Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ cups Chopped Walnuts

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Pour peaches and syrup in a 13 x 9 dish.

Sprinkle cake mix right on top.

Cut stick of butter in 16 pieces and arrange on top of the cake mix.

Sprinkle brown sugar on top next, and then nuts.

Bake for about 40 minutes.

Serve warm or cold … with or without ice cream.

Enjoy!

My Husband and I have a very similar recipe. Minus so much butter and walnuts. We take a scoop of butter from a tub, melt it in the microwave then pour on top of the batter. It is sooo delicious!

Made this last night & it was wonderful. I did find it very sweet, so I plan to add a few more peaches. But this is so easy & I’ll have to fight the urge to eat the whole pan myself.

I wanted to make this recipe because it sounded so delicious. However, I only had pears and carrot cake mix. Guess what? It made a wonderful dessert. Thanks for the inspiration.

This was incredible! A friend first brought it to a dinner party at my house. Since, I have made it at least four times and taken it to other get-togethers. AWESOME! Easy and everyone loves it!

This cake is to die for! I am eating a piece now… yummmm! I’m planning to make this for our family’s Easter get-together. With the way my family eats I’ll definitely need to make two!

This was delicious and super easy. My only problem is that not all of the cake mix dissolved. In the future, should I try to mix it more into the peaches or not? Also I will decrease the sugar, as it kind of clumped in some parts and was just too much. Oh, and increase the pecans. Other than that very, very good.

My boyfriend calls this dessert “the goodness”:-) It was initially too sweet for me (even after reducing the sugar), but the next day all of the flavors had the perfect balance. I will use a little less cake mix next time, since all of the mix didn’t dissolve during baking. I also used pecans instead of walnuts. LOVE this dessert!

Super easy. I am partial to the version with pineapple and cherry pie filling…but this was good too…and cheaper! :)

This was surprisingly good. I was afraid of the cake mix taste, but did not get that at all. I used a larger can of peaches (29 oz) and it was fine. I actually think I’d add even more peaches next time (w/o the extra syrup). Super easy and I think I’ll always have these ingredients on hand in case of a last minute need for dessert.
