Description

This quick and delicious pie recipe was given to me by a friend. It’s easy to put together. So good served warm with ice cream, whipped cream, vanilla yogurt – you get the idea.

Hope you like it.

Ingredients

  • 8 whole Apples, Sliced (any Kind; Depending On The Size Of The Apple You May Use Only 6 Or 7)
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1-½ stick Butter, Melted
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 whole Egg, Beaten
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ cups Chopped Nuts (love Pecans)

Preparation

Use a 10 – inch pie pan. Fill pie pan 2/3 full of sliced apples. Sprinkle apples with 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon.

In a small bowl combine the remaining ingredients. Pour the mixture over the apples in the pie pan. Spread with a spatula so that the mixture gets in the spaces between the apple slices.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Enjoy!

I have had this exact same recipe since the early 1980s and posted about it on my blog at http://www.mamasemptynest.com/?p=2426. You can also use other fruits and that works great, too!

A co-worker just made this, and I think it’s the best apple pie I’ve ever had. The fact that it’s simple makes it all the better…….
