Cream butter and sugar for a few minutes, until light and fluffy. Add egg, orange juice, and vanilla, and mix well. Add dry ingredients and mix just until combined.
Roll dough into balls, and roll in extra sugar. Place on a baking sheet and bake at 325ºF for 8-10 minutes.
After removing from oven, immediately drop baking sheet on the countertop 2 or 3 times to deflate and flatten cookies. Remove cookies to a cooling rack and allow to cool.
For icing, place orange juice in a bowl and add powdered sugar, a little at a time, until it reaches the desired consistency. Drizzle icing over cooled cookies.
