Description

No baking required for the gooey, delicious bars.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Light Corn Syrup
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1-¼ cup Creamy Peanut Butter, Divided
  • 6 cups Peanut Butter Cereal, Such As Cheerios
  • 2 cups Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Line a 9 x 13 baking dish with foil. Grease foil generously.

In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, add corn syrup and sugar. Cook until mixture comes to a boil. Let boil for about 5 minutes or until sugar is completely dissolved. Turn off heat and stir in 1 cup of peanut butter until mixture is smooth.

Mix peanut butter mixture with cereal. Be sure all the cereal is coated. Press evenly into prepared baking dish.

In a saucepan, melt chocolate chips with remaining 1/4 cup of peanut butter until smooth. Spread evenly on top of bars.

Place in fridge for at least 1–2 hours before serving to let bars set. Keep leftovers covered in refrigerator.

delicious and easy to make. BUT don’t store them in the refrigerator or you might break a tooth on it—gets too firm to eat.
