  • 2 cups Real Whipping Cream (seriously It's So Much Better!)
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar

Preparation

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Spray 4 custard cups with Pam and place on cookie sheet.

Microwave chocolate and butter in large bowl on high for about 1 minute, until butter is melted. whisk until chocolate is also melted.

Stir in sugar until well blended. Whisk in eggs and egg yolks. Stir in flour.

Divide between cups.

These were perfect! I think I might bake it 1 or 2 more minutes next time to get a little less “lava”, but my hubby and kids LOVED it!

I searched and searched for a reasonably simple, well-reviewed recipe for molten lava cakes. And I found it! This one uses stuff I have on hand, takes almost no time to prepare and no special skills to prepare them. They are idiot proof, which is what I was looking for. And if they don’t satisfy the most overwhelming chocolate cravings you have, then you need serious help :-) I will be making these time and time again…sigh..bye bye waist line….

Turns out perfectly! Made this for Valentine’s Day for my fiance. He RAVED about it. He rates it a 9/10. We go out to eat at nice restaurants a lot. He says it is definitely comparable to a high-class restaurant quality dessert. It’s perfectly molten on the inside and so rich without being overly sweet. Perfect!
