Description

Combining ripe mango and nectarine in your ice cream maker results in a creamy, delicious dessert for those hot summer nights.

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Medium Nectarines, Peeled And Sliced
  • 1 whole Large Mango, Peeled And Sliced
  • ⅔ cups Sugar
  • ⅔ cups Water
  • 4 teaspoons Lemon Juice

Preparation

Combine all ingredients into a food processor or blender and puree until smooth. Refrigerate the mixture until thoroughly chilled. Turn on the ice cream maker and pour ingredients into the bowl. Churn 25-30 minutes, or until desired consistency is reached. For a firmer sorbet, freeze for 2-4 hours.

Makes 1 quart.

I made this after being given a 1/2 case of mangoes. My husband doesn’t care for them but, I love them. This is fantastic!! My husband even loved it. I made it at the end of summer while the weather was still warm and it really was a great way to cool off at the end of the day. I have made it a couple of more times and plan to keep this recipe near the top.
