Description

The most decadent, rich, and delicious brownies you’ll ever eat. Definitely one of my husband’s favorites!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE BROWNIES:
  • 1 cup Butter, Melted
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 4 whole Eggs
  • ¾ cups Hershey's Cocoa
  • 1 cup Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • _____
  • FOR THE FROSTING:
  • 1 stick Butter Or Margarine, At Room Temperature
  • 1 package Cream Cheese, At Room Temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 pound Powdered Sugar
  • _____
  • FOR THE GLAZE:
  • 1 ounce, weight Semi Sweet Chocolate Melted
  • ½ sticks Butter Or Margarine, Melted
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Evaporated Milk, Or More As Needed

Preparation

Brownies:
Heat oven to 325-350 degrees. Grease a 13×9 baking pan. Stir together the butter, sugar, and vanilla. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add cocoa, flour, baking powder, and salt; beat until well blended. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from the sides and a toothpick tester comes out clean. Cool completely.

Cream Cheese Frosting:
Beat together the butter, cream cheese, and vanilla. Add the powdered sugar 1 cup at a time until you have used it all and the frosting is smooth. Pour over the cooled brownies and chill.

Chocolate Glaze:
Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler. Mix with powdered sugar and add milk one tablespoon (2-4 tablespoons total) at a time. Try not to make the glaze too wet. Drizzle over brownies when well mixed.

Oh my! These were a definate hit. I took them to a fish fry and everyone ran around trying to figure out who made these. I happily passed out the recipe. These are rich so I cut them into small pieces which satisfy even my craving for chocolate. Love them!
