Description

A homemade version of Ben and Jerry’s famous ice cream flavor that will tickle your taste buds and satisfy your craving. You won’t miss the original.

Ingredients

  • 6 whole Malted Milk Balls
  • 6 whole Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels (See Below)
  • 1-½ cup Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 1 Tablespoon Peanut Butter (heaping)
  • _____
  • FOR THE CHOCOLATE-COVERED PEANUT BUTTER PRETZELS:
  • 1 bag (12 Oz. Bag) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 bag (8 Oz. Bag) Peanut Butter Pretzel Sandwiches

Preparation

To make the chocolate-covered peanut butter pretzels:

Melt chocolate by placing chips in a double boiler over simmering water. Stir until melted. (Alternate method: place chips in a microwave safe bowl and heat on 50% power for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Stir. Continue to heat in 15-30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.)

Using tongs, dip pretzels in melted chocolate to coat. Place on waxed paper to cool. Repeat with entire bag of pretzels. Place in the freezer to cool, about 10 minutes.

To make the ice cream:

Once pretzels have cooled, place malted milk balls and pretzels in a food processor and pulse until broken into chunks. Keep pulsing until no whole pieces remain. I like mine on the chunkier side. This makes 1/2 cup of mix-ins.

Add crushed mix-ins to a bowl with ice cream and peanut butter. Mix together using 2 spoons and enjoy!
