Description

These are the perfect travel snack or back to school lunch box treat.

Ingredients

  • 6 Tablespoons Earth Balance Buttery Spread (or Butter)
  • ½ cups Honey Or Agave
  • ¼ cups Molasses
  • 2 cups White Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Ginger, Ground
  • ¼ teaspoons Cloves, Ground
  • ¼ teaspoons Nutmeg, Ground
  • ½ cups Raisins
  • ½ cups Dried Cranberries
  • ¼ cups Pecans, Chopped

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 350˚

In a large bowl, cream together the buttery spread, honey, and molasses.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt and spices.

Add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, beating until smooth.

Mix in the nuts and dried fruit.

Spread the mix in a lightly greased 8”x8” pan. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

I made these for a camping trip and they were a big hit with everyone. They are moist and full of flavor,—Delicious!!

These sound so good. I just bought Agave, I have seen it in some recipes. This is the recipe I am going to try it in. YUMMY!
