Description

Would you like a dessert style cheese ball to add to your Christmas festivities? This is a delicious toffee version to be served with crackers, cookies, and pretzels.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter, Softened
  • 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Caramel Ice Cream Topping
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • ¼ teaspoons Butter Rum Flavoring
  • ½ cups Mini Chocolate Chips, Plus More For Rolling
  • 2 whole (1.4 Oz. Size) Crushed Heath Bars
  • Cookies, Pretzels, And Crackers, To Serve

Preparation

Note: the preparation time for this recipe is about 10 minutes. But you will need to refrigerate for 1 or 2 hours.

Cream the butter and the cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add the powdered sugar. Mix well. Add the caramel topping and the flavorings. Beat well. Add mini chocolate chips. Stir to incorporate.

Divide the mixture in half. Drop each half onto a piece of plastic wrap. Gather up the corners to shape into a ball. Secure with a twist tie. Refrigerate until firm (1-2 hours).

Unwrap each ball and roll in crushed toffee and more mini chocolate chips. Place on a serving platter with a variety of cookies, pretzels and sweet crackers. This recipe will make 2 cheese balls. Each ball will serve 6-8 people.
