Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Place stick of butter in a 9×13 pan, and put in oven until butter is melted.
In large mixing bowl mix flour, allspice, sugar, salt and baking powder together.
Add milk to dry ingredients; mix until combined.
In another bowl mix fruit and tablespoon sugar together.
Pour batter into pan with melted butter.
Scatter fruit mixture over batter; do not mix.
Bake 1 hour until bubbly and golden on top.
