Description

Dark and twisty cream cheese frosting.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick Real Butter, Softened
  • 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 4 cups Powdered Sugar, Sifted
  • ½ cups Dark Chocolate Cocoa Powdered, Sifted
  • 6 Tablespoons Heavy Cream

Preparation

On a piece of waxed paper, sift together powdered sugar and dark chocolate cocoa powder.

Beat together softened cream cheese with softened butter until smooth and creamy. Add vanilla.

Add sugar/cocoa mixture in 1 cup increments and beat with the mixer until smooth. Add heavy cream and beat until smooth.

You can add more sugar or more cream depending on the consistency you’d like.

This will ice 24 of the Pioneer Woman’s chocolate cupcakes.

This was easy & DELICIOUS! I used it for my daughter’s first birthday cake & cupcakes and it was a hit!
I tweaked it a bit to get the right consistency as the recipe suggests, and I think I ended up putting quite a bit more cocoa powder in.
‘Cause I like chocolate!!!
