This dessert came to be when, after Thanksgiving dinner,
there was always leftover cranberry sauce. And instead of throwing it out, this dessert was born.
You don’t have to wait for the holidays to roll around to make this. It is a great summertime dessert to take to a picnic.
Preheat oven to 375F.
Mix all ingredients (except cranberry sauce) until crumbly. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of an 8×8 pan.
Whip cranberry sauce with a whisk and spread over the bottom crust. Sprinkle the remaining oat topping over the cranberry sauce.
Bake for 45 minutes. You may serve this warm or cooled with a dollop of Cool Whip.
