Description

Mud Pie is always a favorite, for kids and adults. Although mud pie is traditionally made with coffee ice cream, La Casa de Sweets prefers the cookies and cream version. Try this for a great twist on an American classic!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CRUST:
  • 1 Tablespoon Unsalted Butter
  • 10 whole Oreos (crushed)
  • _____
  • FOR THE ICE CREAM LAYER:
  • 2 pints Cookies And Cream Ice Cream, Left Out Of The Freezer For 30 Minutes
  • _____
  • FOR THE TOPPING:
  • ½ jars Hot Fudge Sauce (half Of A 16 Ounce Jar)
  • 3 whole Oreos, Coarsely Chopped

Preparation

In a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl, microwave the butter until melted. Add the crushed Oreos, and mix until combined.

Pour the Oreo mix into a pie dish, flattening it down with a spoon. Scoop in the ice cream and flatten it down on top of the Oreo crust.

Freeze for at least 2 hours.

After the 2 hours, remove the pie from the freezer. Pour the hot fudge on top of the ice cream layer. Using the back of a spoon, smooth down the fudge layer, making sure it covers the ice cream layer completely. Sprinkle on the chopped Oreos.

Return to the freezer for at least 2 more hours before enjoying.

Makes 1 Mud Pie.
