Description

So simple and yummy, the only thing that will make this peach pie any better is a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side!

Use my Lard Pie Crust to make this pie so special – use the two crust recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1-¼ cup Sugar
  • ⅓ cups All-purpose Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juices (sprinkled Over The Peaches)
  • 4 cups Fresh Peaches, Peeled And Sliced
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Combine the sugar, flour and cinnamon in a mixing bowl. Stir in the peach slices and fold to coat with the sugar/flour mixture.

Pour into a 9-inch unbaked pie shell. Dot with butter. Cover with top crust, seal edges and crimp. Make vents in top crust. bake for 40 to 50 minutes until crust is golden brown.

Seriously good stuff!

This pie was super easy to make and tastes wonderful! I only had 3 peaches, so not quite 4 cups, but it was fine. My filling wasn’t runny at all. I let it bake a little longer so the sugar temp got hotter I think causing it to not be so soupy. It really is a great tasting pie!

I made this last night and it tasted great (I added a 1/4 tsp of nutmeg as well) but the filling is very soupy, as the photo indicates. I spooned about a cup of the liquid of of the pie (it would be amazing on ice cream!) before wrapping it up to put in the fridge. Just a heads up for anyone expecting a more firm pie filling.

My pie is going into the oven and it looks fabulous. I only had one crust so I made a Pate Brisee for the top it should be fabulous. It was so easy to put together.
Thanks
