Description

Ooey-gooey caramel, apple, oatmeal goodness . . . Would be extra yummy topped with ice cream!

Ingredients

  • 6 Tablespoons Softened Butter
  • 6 Tablespoons Butter Flavored Shortening
  • 1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • ½ cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1-¾ cup Flour
  • 2 cups Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Chopped Granny Smith Apple
  • 1 cup Kraft Caramel Bits

Preparation

1. Cream together the butter and shortening using a mixer on high speed for 30 seconds.
2. Add sugars, baking powder and baking soda and mix well.
3. Add egg and vanilla and mix well.
4. Mix in flour until combined.
5. Mix in oats until combined.
6. Stir in caramel bits and chopped apples.
7. Press into a greased 9×13 pan.
8. Bake at 350 degrees F for 22-25 minutes.
9. Cool completely and then cut into squares.
