Description

A combination of banana boats and s’mores, this satisfies a sweet tooth and yen for childhood treats with under 200 calories!

Ingredients

  • ½ whole Banana
  • 1 whole Graham Cracker
  • ½ Tablespoons Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 3 whole Large Marshmallows

Preparation

Slice half of a medium banana into the bottom of a cereal bowl. Break up graham cracker into chunks and scatter amongst the banana pieces. Dot with chocolate chips. Tear 3 marshmallows into pieces and place on top.

Put the whole bowl into a toaster oven. Broil until the marshmallow turns golden; mine takes about 2 minutes, but it will depend on how hot your broiler is.

(Don’t turn your back! They turn pretty quickly once they get going. I do this by turning the toaster timer onto medium, with the “broil” setting on so only the top element comes on.)

Remove with a potholder and eat with a spoon (careful, it’s hot when it first comes out!). The chocolate chips should be melted and the bananas should be warm to hot, without being mushy.

You can substitute 1/4 cup of Rice Krispies for the graham cracker; they’re both around 185 calories, though the graham version has around 2.9 grams of fat, while the cereal one has 2.3 grams of fat.
