Pour the water into a large pot and mix in the gelatin powders. Bring water to a boil and stir to dissolve the powder. Add in the pears and partially cover the pot with a lid. Simmer on medium-low heat for 30 to 35 minutes, or until tender, stirring frequently for even color.
Remove pears with tongs and let cool for 5 minutes. Drizzle honey and nuts over the pears and serve with a side of whipped cream.
Note: Discard the remaining liquid or pour it into ramekins, chill for 4 hours, and serve another simple Jello dessert.
