Anytime there’s a get together, I’m always told to bring that blueberry stuff. My husband’s uncle even asks for it instead of a birthday cake.
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F
To prepare the crust, mix together the margarine/butter, pecans and flour. You may have to use your hands to get it right. Spread into the bottom of a 13X9 casserole dish. There should be just enough to cover the bottom. Bake for about 15 minutes. Just until starting to brown. Allow to cool completely.
Next is the filling. Using a hand mixer, mix together the cream cheese, sugar and whipped topping. Spread onto the cooled crust.
Then just spread the pie filling over the top. It may not reach all of the edges, but with some of the white showing it just makes it prettier. Enjoy!

Glad ya’ll like this. I’ve made this so many times that the recipe is in a permanent file in my head. I have tried it with cherry pie filling as well as strawberry and it’s delicious, too. Thanks for the comments.

I made this last night and it is a keeper! Yum Yum it is! I bet you could use other fruit topping as well. Thank you for a great recipe.

Wow! I thought my family were the only ones to call this Blueberry Yum Yum! I’ve seen the recipe many times before but it always had a different name. I grew up on this and used to ask for it as my birthday cake too. It is an old family recipe – I have an original recipe of it that my grandmother wrote over 50 years ago. The only difference between yours and ours is we use Dream Whip instead of Cool Whip. This is a must for every family get together and holiday we have. Thanks for posting!
