Ever think that a box mix brownie is too hard to beat? If you want to hold on to that belief, don’t try these. You’ll never buy a box mix for brownies again.

In honor of bake sales everywhere, here is my re-imagining of trash, in bar form. I also went old school and made a batch of real trash for inspiration which, I highly recommend doing as well. But the bars are a perfect blend of decadent, creamy, chewy and crunchy – like a Rice Krispies treat on steroids. I can promise that like most bake sale offerings, these are not good for you, especially in large quantities. Oh, well!

Nothing “trifle” about this. We named this after my daughter, Brynn, who made this all the time when she was in high school and continues to wow the college crowd with this simple, but wonderful (and beautiful) dessert. We made 16 of these for her graduation party and it’s even been served for wedding receptions.

Even though St. Patty’s Day has passed, these brownies never should! Guinness brownies with a cream cheese Bailey’s infused swirl should make the table much more often than just March 17th.

I like to delude myself that these are at least somewhat healthier then normal brownies. It’s nice and easy to remember since pretty much every quantity of anything in it is “1″.

In her blog, she shares her photographs, random musings (serious and silly alike), and all kinds of scrumptious recipes---and not just evil variations of her favorite mac and cheese. Her enviable TK recipe box is a testament to that. Go see for yourself!
