Description

Sweet maple and cinnamon bread drenched in a powdered sugar glaze. Perfect for breakfast or dessert!

Ingredients

  • 2-¼ cups Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 4 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon, Divided
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ cups Butter, Melted
  • 1 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • ¼ cups Butter, Cold And Cut Into Pieces
  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
  • FOR THE GLAZE:
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • ¼ cups Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a 9-inch loaf pan.

In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon and salt. Set aside.

In a mixing bowl, whisk melted butter, syrup, vanilla, eggs and buttermilk. Whisk until smooth and fully combined. Add flour mixture into butter-syrup mixture and whisk until fully combined.

In a small bowl, cut cold butter into remaining cinnamon until small pieces are formed. Fold into batter into prepared pan.

Bake 40–45 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

For the icing:
Whisk powdered sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth. Pour or drizzle over cooled bread.

For best results, let icing set before serving.
