So easy and far more satisfying than store-bought ones! The resting time makes them much softer and more flexible, they work fine in a rush but they’re not as easy to fold or fill.
I really recommend adding garlic granules, linseeds, oregano or paprika. If you want them as chapattis, try adding freshly ground cumin and using wholemeal flour.

These were awesome! I followed the recipe exactly, but will probably try using some whole wheat flour next time. Thanks for the recipe!

Super Easy and so much better than store-bought. This was my first go at homemade tortillas and I think I just spoiled my husband. I did think, however, they lacked in flavor but that is probably because lard adds that fattening flavor. 5 for easy and healthier and texture, 4 for flavor. Next time I will add a little more salt, but I do like things on the salty side.

Yum! Used 1/3 wholemeal and 2/3 regular flour. Turned out beautifully and I will be making them again. Thanks for such an easy recipe.

Fantastic! I couldn’t believe how simple and easy these were to make. I’ve never made homemade tortillas before and was excited over how wonderful they turned out, thanks!! Yummy:)

This was the first time i’ve ever tried making tortillas and it turned out great! i don’t have anything to compare these to, but i love that these call for oil instead of lard or shortening. Really great and yummy tortillas. And really easy, too! thank you for sharing!

These were great. REALLY easy. Easy on the wallet too! I added a tiny bit extra baking powder and they ended up a little bit thicker which was great. Almost a cross between a tortilla and a pita. We are no longer buying tortillas from the store.

As someone who is allergic to corn and hasn’t had a tortilla or taco chip in almost 3 years… THANK YOU! I’m going to try this recipe ASAP.

I live in China and have tried several recipes for tortillas but haven’t found just the right one. This one looks great! I’ll give it a try.

Break out your grown-up rolling pin for these (an old water bottle does not a uniform tortilla make)! Not quite as tasty as tortillas made with lard, but that’s to be expected. I made these per instructions, but cooked half the batch the same evening and the other half 2 days later. Both tasted great! Just let the dough come to room temperature before trying to roll out. Also, the cooked tortillas freeze well!

I was skeptical, but these turned out so well that my husband has asked that I not buy tortillas from the store anymore! I love that they use canola oil for the fat instead of lard or shortening, and I love that they have 5 ingredients as opposed to 20. And of course, I would not even be making these if they weren’t so easy! Thank you for sharing this recipe!
