Description

A healthier way to enjoy banana bread.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • ¾ cups Sugar
  • ¼ cups Canola Oil
  • 2 whole Egg Whites
  • 1 cup Mashed Ripe Bananas
  • ¼ cups Fat Free Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

Preparation

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease the bottom of an 8×4-inch or 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.

In a medium-sized bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.

In large bowl, beat sugar, oil, egg whites, bananas, milk and vanilla until well blended. Stir in flour mixture until well blended. Spoon into the pan.

Bake an 8-inch loaf for 55 to 62 minutes, and an 9-inch loaf for 45 to 52 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes. Remove from the pan to a cooling rack. Cool completely, about 1 hour, before slicing.

Thank you for this recipe! It turned out very nice, and it was super easy to make. I added an extra mashed banana to the recipe and used Splenda instead of real sugar. It is great. Also, I added a scoop of no sugar added vanilla ice cream and strawberries on top. Thanks again.
