Description

This is a banana bread recipe that I got from Betty Crocker. When I first came about this recipe, I substituted some ingredients only because I didn’t have the required ingredients at the time. It came out great and I’ve been making it like this ever since. I make this bread 2-3 times a week because my parents love to take a loaf and share at work. Hope you all enjoy it!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cups Sugar
  • 1 stick Butter, Unsalted And Melted
  • 2 whole Eggs, Large Size
  • 3 whole To 4 Whole Ripe Bananas
  • ½ cups Vanilla Soymilk, Or Soymilk Plain
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla, If You Used Plain Soymilk
  • 2-½ cups Flour, All Purpose Unbleached
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees (F).

Spray a loaf pan with some non stick spray, or if you do not have that, grease the pan with some butter.

In a mixing bowl, add the sugar and melted butter, and mix it up well.

Add the eggs to the bowl and give it a nice mix.

Add the 3 – 4 ripe bananas and mash up the bananas into the mix. Then add in the milk and vanilla and stir it till all is mixed well.

Add your flour, salt, baking soda and mix it all up.

After everything is mixed well, just pour your batter into the loaf pan.

Get a baking pan/dish and add cold water into the dish. Fill it up to halfway up the loaf pan, and add the loaf pan onto the baking pan/dish.

Now you can put it into the oven and bake it for 1 hour and 20 minutes- 1 hour and 30 minutes. I like to check how my bread is after 1 hour and 20 minutes by putting a fork in the middle of the bread, and if I see that it doesn’t come out clean, then I add another 5 -10 minutes, and do the test again. When my fork comes out clean, then I know the bread is done.

Take the loaf pan out of the oven and keep it in a cooling place for about 15- 20 minutes. You can easily remove the bread out of the loaf pan by flipping it over. (This works if you use the non stick spray. I’m not sure if the butter will give you the same results).

That’s it for the bread! Enjoy it, I usually eat it right away after a half an hour while it’s still hot!!
