Place in a blender the eggs and softened shortening. Pulse to slightly combine. Add bananas and sugar and blend until smooth.
In a medium bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Pour banana mix over dry ingredients and stir gently to combine. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Pour into greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Enjoy
