Description

This bread comes together to make a simple bowl of soup a hearty and complete meal, and beer bread is not only delicious, but seriously the easiest homemade baked bread I have ever seen!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Self-Rising Flour
  • ⅓ cups Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • 12 ounces, fluid Beer

Preparation

1) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a loaf pan.

2) In a medium bowl, stir together the dry ingredients.

3) Add the beer and stir to combine.

4) Knead the dough with your hands while still in the bowl until the dough comes together and is moist all the way through.

5) Place the dough into the buttered loaf pan.

6) Bake the bread at 350 degrees F for 60 minutes.

7) When the bread is golden and cooked through, remove from the oven and pop it out of the loaf pan.

8 ) Break apart the loaf and serve hot.

Great bread!! So easy and simple. Makes a REALLY good soup bread. It’s a little dry to eat on it’s own but I will definitely be making this again with soup or chili.

This is absolutely smashing. I made it with slightly less sugar, and used some leftover black and tan we didn’t finish at a Christmas party on Sunday. Just delicious, and so incredibly easy. Thanks!
