Description

My favorite banana bread recipe to date! Moist and flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoons Nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cups Butter, Room Temperature
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 whole Large Eggs
  • ⅓ cups Buttermilk
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 4 whole Ripe Bananas
  • 1 cup Chopped Walnuts Or Pecans

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing each until fully incorporated. Add the dry ingredients into the wet in three installments, alternating with the buttermilk. Start and end with the dry ingredients. Once fully incorporated, fold in the vanilla, bananas, nuts and any other add-ins you’re using with a spatula.

Grease two 8×14 loaf pans and add half of the batter into each. Bake for 45-55 minutes. If using metal pans and the top is browning too quickly, take it out of the oven, put foil on top and stick back into the oven until a toothpick in the center comes out mostly clean.

Let cool slightly, cut and enjoy!
