Description

Savory muffins with delicious tidbits in every bite. My family loves these cold, as a snack, or warmed up for 20 seconds in the microwave for breakfast. Great in place of anywhere you would normally serve cornbread!

Ingredients

  • 6 slices Thick Cut Bacon
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 cup Smoked Gouda, Cubed
  • ½ cups Parmesan Cheese, Grated
  • 4 teaspoons Chives, Chopped Fresh Or Dried
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1-½ Tablespoon White Sugar
  • 1-½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 whole Egg
  • ½ cups Milk
  • ½ cans Cream Of Mushroom Soup
  • ½ cups Vegetable Oil

Preparation

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees and lightly grease a muffin pan.

Brown the bacon and crumble it into smallish pieces.

Combine all the dry ingredients (including the cheeses) in a bowl.

In another bowl, combine all the wet ingredients and make sure the egg is well incorporated.

Now, combine the wet and dry ingredients together and mix until just moist.

Spoon the mixture into a muffin pan, filling up the muffins pan cups about 3/4 of the way to the top.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Take out the muffins while they are still warm to cool on a rack, otherwise the hardened, once-melted cheese will never come off the pan.
