Description

This creamy spinach dip is awesome as a dip itself or as a spread on a sandwich!

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Olive Oil
  • 1 whole White Onion
  • 2 whole Garlic Cloves
  • 2 pounds Spinach
  • ½ cups Milk
  • 6 ounces, weight Cream Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire
  • 2 teaspoons Tabasco
  • ¾ cups Shredded Mozzarella

Preparation

In a large pan, heat oil over medium. Add onion and garlic; cook until lightly browned, about 5 to 8 minutes.

Add spinach and cook until completely wilted, about 5 to 8 minutes. Transfer to a colander; drain, pressing to release all excess liquid.

In the same pot, warm milk over high heat. Whisk in cream cheese until melted, about 3 minutes. Add spinach, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and mozzarella; stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer over medium low heat until ready to serve. Transfer to a serving dish and add pita wedges for dipping.

This dip looks perfect for the rare but very fussy artichoke haters! And all spinach lovers of course!

This dip got rave reviews at the party I took it to, I added some Tuscan seasoning and Parmesan cheese in top. Super yum!

This was really good! I halved it for a snack and also used heavy cream because I was out of milk.
