Description

A Cozy Kitchen’s Pumpkin Coeur a la Creme is the perfect holiday appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
  • ⅓ cups Half-and-half
  • ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoons Nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoons Lemon Zest
  • 1 jar Pumpkin Butter

Preparation

Blend together all ingredients except for the pumpkin butter.

Line a sieve with cheesecloth or paper towels. Pour the cream cheese mixture into the sieve, fold the paper towels over it and place over a bowl so it can drain. Leave in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.

Remove from the refrigerator and unfold the paper towels. Place a plate over the sieve and flip the cream cheese onto the plate. Pour pumpkin butter over top and serve with crackers. Prepare yourself to make new friends.

I bought a jar of pumpkin butter at a farmer’s market this fall and had no idea what to do with it. I couldn’t wait to try this, and I’m glad I didn’t wait. It is WAY yummy!

OH! I love all things pumpkin. I will be trying this soon. What kind of crackers do you typically use? The picture looks like they could be graham crackers…would love to get this right the first time!
