Description

I got this recipe from my friend, Sandy, and it became an instant hit. It always gets demolished and I always get asked for the recipe. Cut this recipe in half for 6 or fewer people. However, leftovers are great on tacos!

Ingredients

  • 2 whole (8 Oz. Each) Pkgs. Cream Cheese, Softened
  • ½ cups Sour Cream
  • ½ cups Mayonnaise
  • 1 can (4 Oz.) Chopped Green Chilies, Drained
  • 5 whole Jalapeño Peppers, Seeded And Diced (leave In A Few Of The Seeds To Give Dish Some Extra Heat)
  • ½ cups Parmesan Cheese, Grated
  • ½ cups Panko (Japanese Bread Crumbs)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400ºF.

Stir together cream cheese, sour cream, and mayo in a large bowl until smooth. Stir in green chiles and jalapeños.

Pour mixture into an oven safe serving dish and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and panko crumbs. Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes, then put under the broiler for 1 – 3 minutes to lightly brown the top.

Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers or a crusty bread.

*Cut recipe in half for 6 or fewer people.

What happened to your picture Babs? Obviously this is a sign that you need to whip up a new batch this weekend and take a few snapshots! If only we lived closer I’d bring my Nikon over and oblige for a small fee of allowing me to consume some of that amazing dip!!!

Took this to an Easter lunch and with eight people and a full batch, it was still almost gone. I left out most of the seeds and it was a little mild for me, but too spicy for others. I didn’t have to broil it as after about fifteen minutes the base was hot and the topping had browned.
