Description

Cheesy, gooey, and full of bacon, this dip is outta this world!

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Round Loaf Of Bread
  • 8 ounces, fluid Monterey Jack Cheese, Shredded
  • 4 ounces, fluid Parmesan Cheese, Shredded
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • ¼ cups Finely Diced Onion
  • 7 pieces Bacon, Diced And Fried
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • ¼ teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes (optional)

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Slice the top quarter off the loaf of bread and set aside. Carefully hollow out the inside, leaving a 1-inch shell. Cube removed bread and set aside for dipping.

Combine remaining ingredients in a large bowl and spoon into the bread bowl. Place on an ungreased baking sheet and cover with the reserved top quarter of the loaf to prevent the dip from becoming too brown while baking.

Bake for 45 minutes or until heated through. Serve with bread cubes and crackers.

VERY GOOD! I’ve made this twice in the last week for two different parties and it was one of the first things to go! Great recipe! Thanks!

We LOVE this dip. I use cheddar, but the monteray jack sounds great. It gets devoured every time I make it.

The taste of this dip is amazing, but it coagulates back into cheese chunks very quickly as it cools. Make sure to serve it in the warm bread as suggested, or in a crock pot. I didn’t, and I ended up being the only person in my family that would eat it due to the texture.

This dip is INSANE! I took this to work one day for a potluck and simply warmed it in the crock pot. I’m sure it would be better done in the oven but it was still fantastic in the crock pot. I will be making this again!

This is really good! I made half of the recipe because I couldn’t find a big enough bread bowl and it was gone in 10 minutes. My husband wants me to make it again. It’s a keeper!

I have made this twice now. It is SO GOOD! Not your typical cheddar and bacon dip. The cheeses give it a more Italian flavor. Its a big hit!

WOW! I made this for a Thanksgiving appetizer and everyone raved about it. Does not disappoint! I might try adding some cream cheese in next time to give it a different texture just to see. Delicious!
