Description

Simple yet delicious egg rolls!

Ingredients

  • Oil, For Frying
  • ½ pounds Pork Sausage
  • 1 cup Carrots, Chopped
  • 1 cup Cabbage Chopped
  • ¼ cups Green Onion, Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Teriyaki Sauce
  • 10 pieces Egg Roll Wrappers

Preparation

Heat oil in a medium saucepan or deep fryer to 350ºF. Cook sausage on medium heat in a large skillet. Once browned, add in carrots, cabbage and green onion. Stir. Pour in Teriyaki sauce and cook 10 more minutes on medium-low heat until mixture is thoroughly heated.

Take one egg roll wrapper. Set it in a diamond shape onto a plate. Scoop 1/4 cup of sausage mixture onto the center of the egg roll wrapper. Fold up the bottom to cover the mixture. Wrap in both sides, tightly, and then roll all the way up. Repeat with the rest of the wrappers.

Fry egg rolls in oil for 3-4 minutes, turning to cook all sides. Set fried egg rolls on a paper-towel lined plate to soak up the grease. Let cool 5 minutes before eating!

These can also be baked! Preheat oven to 400ºF. Spray a cookie sheet with olive oil cooking spray. Place egg rolls onto a cookie sheet. Spray egg rolls lightly with the cooking spray as well. Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown! (These are great dipped in sweet and sour sauce!)
